Yasss Ankara Made It To The AMAs!  Actress, Tracee Ellis Ross was the host for The American Music Awards (AMAs) which held last night October 10, 2018, in Los Angeles, California and she totally reminded every one of her side passion for fashion with not 1 but 10 looks for the night!

Prior to the award show, the Blackish actress announced on social media that she will be wearing looks by all-black designers tonight “for the culture” and she totally pulled it off. Yes! All her outfits were made by black designers. The most spectacular one for us was a floor-length stunning Ankara dress made by Cameroonian designer, Lavie By CK.

The vibrant deep V-neck princess fishtail dress from the brand’s Royal Matrimony collection accentuated Tracee’s curves perfectly and gave the needed dramatic effect for the Award show with its bulky double layers of fabric at the sleeves and midi region flowing down to the ground.

She accessorised the flamboyant look with Stuart Weitzman earrings and pumps with her hair braided in simple cornrows – African princess style!

The Claude Lavie Kameni led brand has become a connoisseur of over the top Ankara pieces in the United States garnering an IT girl following from Jackie Aina and Nyakim Gatwechto superstar Janet Jacksonwho wore a piece from the brand earlier this year for a video shoot.

On Twitter, Tracee posted:
