When we think of Ankara we think of bold bright colors and the most extravagant designs that exude African Creativity. It comes as no surprise that Liberian born fashion blogger, Sarlea Mah wears her Ankara (or Lappa, as they are called in Liberia) so proudly.

On her blog she writes:

“I adore the beautiful colors of African fabrics (aka ) and the head scarfs, so I decided to embrace that in Cuba while on vacation. I wanted to be identified as a Liberian girl and dress like my mother does when she wears a “Lappa suit” to church or to an African wedding or some celebratory Liberian/African event.”

For your style inspiration here is how Ms Mah is showcasing African creativity.
